Heart of David Academy
Cultivating Faith 24/7

The Bible tells us King David praised 7 times and prayed 3 times – every. day. – including at midnight! It says his people would also rise out of their beds to pray when they would hear the King’s music floating on the breeze.

It wasn’t just the Hebrews who followed this practice. History also points out that a lot of Christians were up at midnight too!

Why Midnight?

Quick Links

Midnight is considered the start of a new day. A time when we can wake up somewhat refreshed from a 4-ish hour nap. A time of power when we can pray our intentions into our day, before any distractions or interruptions. When we can connect more fully with our Creator because we can focus on Him.

The Daily Prayer Walk

Wondering what daily midnight prayer can do for you but not sure where or how to get started? I’d like to invite you to join me and my co-hosts every day at 12:00 AM US Central for prayer and fellowship on The Daily Prayer Walk podcast.

Yes, it’s the same DPW we’ve been hosting since 2007 but we’ve tweaked the show format a little and moved to a new channel and time!

It’s still just as easy to participate though:

– OR –

We will pray the daily Psalm rotation, read and discuss the Daily Thought, pray over our families and ourselves, and lift up anyone who has entered a prayer request or suffered a loss in the last week.

Hope to ‘see’ you there!

Wishing you much peace, happiness, and success,
