About the Heart of David Academy

Hello, and welcome to Heart of David Academy | Building Foundations for Life! Originally established in 2009 as a Texas Christian homeschool, we’ve evolved into a non-denominational community open to anyone who can benefit from our insights and fellowship. Our family started this journey with one goal: to make homeschooling, home economics, homesteading, preparedness, and entrepreneurship more affordable, easy, and fun.

We believe learning works best when it’s lived, not boxed into isolated subjects or rigid schedules. That’s why every resource we create is designed to be interdisciplinary, practical, and family-friendly, so you can use one lesson with kids of different ages, customize it to your rhythm, and turn everyday moments into powerful learning and bonding experiences.

We also share budget-friendly ideas, side hustles, and small business tools to help you make home education more sustainable, because we know what it’s like to want an amazing life for your kids and still need to pay the bills.

At Heart of David Academy, we believe learning flows naturally across life. Not in isolated subjects.

Our lessons, unit studies, and activities blend science, history, language arts, art, ethics, and critical thinking, giving families the tools to explore, create, and grow independently.

For example, our “Inspired By” collection turns favorite games, movies, and fandoms into hands-on learning adventures. Explore strategy with Warhammer 40,000, detective skills with Batman, science with Superman, global studies with Black Widow, or the magic, history, and ethics of Harry Potter and Skyrim. Even Ben 10 and Secret Saturdays open doors to DNA, alien tech, cryptids, and folklore.

Every fandom becomes a launchpad for curiosity, helping your family build practical skills, confidence, and knowledge that lasts. Learning can happen anytime, anywhere, through stories, projects, and everyday adventures. Fun makes the knowledge unforgettable, and independence makes it stick.
